How do Your Remove Windshield?
remove the surrounding....
Shove something through and use a wire... guitar wire or something. have someone on the inside pull back and forth and make your way around...
Im sure you can buy a removal tool somewhere but this is the cheaper way..

I would reccommend before you smash the windshield that you cover the defroster vents with duct tape .I've had a couple replaced and come winter when I turned on the defroster I got a face full of tiny glass shards.
Depends on what accesories are included around that windshield. If it's a gasket, like older trucks, take a razer blade to the gasket, and push the window out. On your windshields, the black thing around the windshield is referred to as a molding. The molding is adhesive'd to the windshield, then the windshield is adhesive'd to the cab, along with the molding. Imagine a 20" boxcutter. That's what you need for proper removal. You are cutting through the glue and a little bit of the windshield, from the inside of the truck. Or, push a hole through the glue and route fishing wire through and go around the shield.
gotta ask.....why?

I had one of those cutting tools you had to pull to cut and what a waste of time they are. I got one of the new saws made just for cutting out auto glass and it works like a charm. I can remove the entire windshiled in just a few minutes, clean the areas for the new, run the bead and drop in the new one. I think the next time I break a windshiled, Im going to get one of those newer ones that have Ranger at the top, those look great.

I use a guitar string. You can buy a whole set at a local music store for 5$.
2 pieces of an old broom handle are used as ' anchors '. One end of the guitar string has a ' ball ' on it. Make a noose with that end by running the string theough the ball. Insert one of the parts of the broom handle through it.
Push the other end of the string through the seal around the window.
The other end, Wrap the string around it several times around the second piece of broom handle. Twist the string around itself.
Have a friend grab one end, you grab the other and start sawing around the window itself through the glue/sealer used. Its a VERY quick process.
Id suggest a ' nickle wound ' string as they are maid of a stainless material and wont have the glue sticking on it like an acrylic or bronze based string would.
D'Addario Nickle wound in .009 gauge work quite well. The small E and B strings work best.
