Maybe remove the tube, then re install it..maybe you'll notice something that shouldn't be or a mount bracket or something.
Either way - i'm confident you can find some solution to the problem, by atleast figuring out a way to get it to sit lower. ...Maybe its your Rangers way of Requesting you atleast SPIT on that God awful Engine bay :) |
your liner is getting heavy and when the hood is closed it handing lower then it should. Looks like a lot of mud building up and soaking into the material.

whats wrong with the engine bay?

No, it more or less for noise and heat deflection. I know when they do go bad people seem to leave them off because they tend to tear apart when you try to remove them. I got a new one for my mustang at it was about 80 bucks.
|
good to know. yea in my case noise really isn't an issue.
|
I think its just some spun fiberglass with a paper fabric layer so power washing it will blow it apart.
|
mine looks like that too,i took mine off for now

when I first saw the picture I thought it was a snap shot from an airplane over some field somewhere. Till I seen the whole picture, thats what my mustang one looked like , the air plenum was rubbing on it. Man that was the dustiest thing I'd had ever handled....Mircon dust particails all over the top of the motor and fenders. It was the oem and 20 years old at the time I changed it.
