Im taking a class called internal combustion. What do you want to know about it?
The most important words are
Intake stroke
Compression stroke
Combustion stroke
Exhaust stroke

Well now Rangererv you've pointed out how the 4 stroke works...he probably would do good knowing how a 2 stroke works as well as a diesel...

While you're learning how those things work its fun to see how a Gas Turbine works too...cuz that covers a lot of stuff...like Warships, Tanks, and Helicopters all use versions of Gas Turbines...A.K.A. Jet Engines, they just use an output shaft instead of thrust for power!

Well i figured he wanted to know about his engine.
Plus I dont know as much about 2 stroke's and diesel's  so i dont wanna give false info.

I'll give you the short answer: you burn some crap in an enclosed space and it makes pressure that pushes on something that turns your wheels...

I was just wanting to get yalls word on how it works. I got all the info on 2-& 4-stroke engines, gasoline, & diesel. The only I haven't done is the turbine engine, then my paper would be like 15 pages long...

Yea, he's writing a paper, no wonder.

Guys he wants it to be elaborated in your words pretty much.

rangererv 04-12-2005 04:34 PM

so post your paper, im always up to learning a new thing or two. (about engines anyway)

EdGe_wannabe 04-13-2005 04:52 AM

I haven't started writing it yet, I'm doing note cards @ the moment...
