no wonder states are going broke.

Minnesota charges tab/plate fees the way it should be done: by year of the vehicle, Type of vehicle, Vehicle engine size, Vehicles cost (when new)
so a brand new Bentley's tabs are around $1000+ and a brand new KIA Sedona is like $150. why? because the state feels that if you can afford to drive it, you can afford the tab fee's. Rich people get no special privledges !
wow, that is pretty cool
that would be nice if FL incorporated something along those lines. as it stands now, it costs me the same to plate a $600.0 protege that I just bought as it does someone who just bought a $60,000.0 porsche...

ANy vehicle in MN over 7 years old pays the Minimum of 38.50 (plus other fees which I never paid less than $45 for my 38.50 tabs) Now I am a South Dakota resident, $45 a year any vehicle.

Bought the plates for the Ranger a few weeks ago. Was about $167 here in Colorado.

Bronco tags are due at the end of June. Will be about $65 bucks. Prices have gone up considering last year the Bronco tags were under $40.

yes i know im quoting my own post but i thought id clarify how wrong i was in my post. brand new in 2007 to register my truck in the state of maine it was a little over 600 dollars. its gone down since then. 2010 registration was about 250. after 5 years it will stay at a constant rate.

for comparison to register my dads 2005 yukon when he bought it in 05 it was over 900 dollars that year. and then 2003 powerstroke 250 was 1100 new to register

$627.. Every year.
plus $40 inspection per vehicle yearly.

Oh you guys just want to know the Ranger?

We pay city and state fees.
Between the 2 the '07 Ranger is $302. And the city gets the larger chunk of it.
My '68 3/4 ton is only $56

Someone mentioned there income and sales tax for there state. Mine is 0% for both.
But they practly rape you in property taxes.

Ranger is about $640/year, F350 will be about $970/year. That's with my 8% "good drivers" discount thing.
