How much is my ranger worth?
Hey everyone, I recently bought a 99 ranger 3.0L 4x4 manual xlt. I was wondering how much it's worth.
it has 140,000 miles
I just replaced the engine with a remanufactured engine. No leaks, great tires, clean interior and paint (bright amber metallic).
I'm sure the biggestime selling point it the new engine.
what could I get for my truck?

Welcome to the forum
Vehicle value is like home value, location, location, location
Exact same vehicle will have different value in Denver or LA, or Miami, or New York, or ect........
In most locations a running pickup truck is worth $800, with 4x4 $1,000 as minimum value
high mile and beat to death, but still a running pickup truck, lol, so has value
Best gauge is to look at your local craigslist or local Truck Trader/Auto trader
See what "asking prices" are for similar models in your area.
Asking price is not the value, buyer and seller agree on the value when vehicle is actually sold
I can ask $10,000 for a vehicle, but that doesn't establish its valve in my market, when a buyer actually parts with the cash is when value is established
1999 Ranger 3.0l 4WD regular cab with 140k miles would average about $2,500, Kelley Blue Book, LA area
Manual trans can add value to right buyer, some won't even call because they want automatic, lol, can't drive a "standard"
New engine should add some value, problem is the documentation and who did the work.
"If you put a new engine in why the heck are you selling it???!!!!"
So can raise some red flags with some buyers, most people don't invest that kinda of cost unless they are keeping vehicle to get some of it back out in usefulness
You can get regional value from Kelly Blue book site, done by Zip Code
