5qts., but why do I get oil in a container containing 5.23 qts?

Tys 4x4 FTW Oct 5, 2009 07:17 PM

Idk. I use that little extra and just pour it straight through the motor with the plug out to help maybe wash anything out. Dunno If it works. Just habit lol

Ace Oct 5, 2009 07:37 PM

Ok i mistook the big jug for 5 qts.

I do 5qts of 10w30 only cause i get it free. But right before i change the oil i always add a qt of Trans fluid and run it for about 10 to 15 mins so its good and hot. I figure the cleaning agents in the trans fluid help clean the motor. It actually does work.. weve used it at work to help quiet some engine noise.
