How much for the plastic thing under radiator?

My friend jumped his Ranger today and the plastic shroud thing under the radiator is broken off. Does anyone who works at a dealer know roughly how much that thing will cost? We will probably go to some junkyards, but they are all a really long drive from here and they all keep banker's hours.

Don't bother. Spend the money and get a metal skid plate. That plastic thingy is a waste of money to replace. About $250 or so for the factory metal skidplate, I believe.

Thanks, Kurt. Between family and work and kicking off a new addictions ministry at church I was overloaded and needed the time for other things! I am shockingly limited sometimes, lol! :)

Yes, they can be a bit -- but what they can save you if you're going to get throttle happy offroad is more than worth it.

It definately would be better, but that is a bit more than my friend is looking to spend. We'll see what the junkyard has though if they are open tomorrow...maybe we will get lucky and find a cheap metal skid.

Even in the woods, you can get a big stick kick up under the tire and whack something. If you offroad at all you need some protection, or you're playing the lottery where the prize is something you don't want to win! :p
