Sea foamed --- dog didn't like it

I just did a much needed oil change and sea foam job. When the truck started smoking my dog freaked out and started barking. He was in the house and the smoke traveled up the driveway. He wouldn't stop either. To his credit the truck never smoked this bad when I have sea foamed in the past. Even when I did the sea foam to a Bronco 2 that had 300,000+ miles it didn't smoke that bad.

Well the truck is very happy now and all cleaned out.

I love sea foam...I don't know if it had anything to do with it, but my spark plugs were black when I changed them right after. I was having a really rough idle, so I seafoamed and changed the plugs, and the plugs were pretty nasty, even only after 35k miles...and some little chunks of metal or something came out...something isn't right :(

Yeah, seafoam will foul the plugs, but metal coming out? That doesn't sound right at all.....

It was about 3 chunks, 2mm or so each...i'm taking pics now

edit: pics won't come out, the chunks are very small, they ARE hard, which leads me to believe it's metal. I'm not loosing any oil, no loss of MPG or power or anything...werid. It all started by the truck running like GARBAGE at idle. It would shake and shudder. I changed the plugs and it's fine now.

I think you may benefit from popping the head off yoru engine after you get some gaskets.. inspect your piping in there and see if theres anything running afoul; good time to clean things up a bit as well if you have the time to do it.

Both. During the oil change I remove the vacum line and pour 2 ounces in. And in the Oil fill I add 1.5 ounce for every quart of oil (7.5 ounces for 5 quarts) and then I add 1 can to the fuel tank. It smokes like hell for a couple of hours then it's like somone poured Nitro Glicerin in the fuel tank. I also used for the first time that Motor Flush. Those are the best you can use. I didn't use sea foam this last time because of the motor flush.

It is one of the best fuel/oil additives you can use to clean the inside of your engine and fuel delivery system. They've been around since 1942. It's about 8 bucks for a small can and about 44 bucks for a gallon of it.

Over time no matter how good of fuel you use there's carbon build up it dissolves the carbon. Just add 1 can to your fuel tank and 7.5 ounces to your engine oil. That sut that comes out of your exhaust lets you know it's working and cleaning your engine out. As far as fouling up the injectors goes I haven't had any problems yet. Those cheap injectors that Ford uses just can't handle them which is why I went to better quality injectors. they still have the same flow rate as the factory but are made of better materials. This is one of those times that aftermarket parts are better than factory senarios. Sometimes factory is better than aftermarket. It's a 2 edge sword.

I wish I had the time, I'm in an accelerated fire academy until Dec. 15th, so maybe after that i'll tear into it. I'm not too worried about it though.
