How much is your Ranger worth to you?

How much is your Ranger worth to you?
So I thought it would be fun, in light of the thread about how much you have spent on your Ranger, to see how much you would take for your Ranger in a dream sale.
So is your Ranger invaluable to you? Or would you only let go of it for the price of a high end sports car? Or would you take it's dealership value? Or just what you have invested?
I think I would take back what I've put into it. Plus my time and energy. Probably $8000-$10000 would do it. Anything lower I would just say no thanks.
So the situation is this. A guy comes up to you and your Ranger in a parking lot, or at a competition if yours isn't street legal. He says he loves it and wants to buy it from you straight up. He will pay anything for it, within reason.

I have had quite a few people ask me if I want to sell and several ask to tell them a price. I won't give them one. To me, my truck is invaluable. My late grandmother bought the truck for me, so it's got sentimental value there and it is also my first truck. Plus I just like the truck and there really isn't anything else I would rather have. I just really like it.

Well............
As the sayin goes, "hindsight is 20/20", I've sold lotta cars over the years that would be worth big $$$ today, but didn't think bout it at the time.
I've also learned that the internet can bite ya, if you look at the vehicles I've owned in last 7yrs thread I posted in, the 81 Malibu pictured, I was in the process of buildin when a kid asked me via PM if I still had it, said yes, asked me if I wanted to sell it, said I hadn't thought bout it, but if the price was right probably would, he asked for price, I priced it HIGH as I didn't really want to get rid of it, he ended up livin only 45mins away, came down on a Sat. with his Daddy, and bought the car no questions asked. So that's when I started on my 90 Mustang Coupe pictured.....and the rest is history!
As far as my Rangers go..........since they are BASTARDS, don't think I have to worry bout anybody hittin me up for it!

i wouldn't sell mine. i bought it for a purpose and it's serving that purpose very well. i value it very high since it's taken me so long to be able to afford a new vehicle and this was my first "gift" when i got a good paying job.
i bought it with the intent of driving it into the ground and i plan to. once it's payed for it'll get a lift and some larger tires.
if i have kids, i'm getting a second "family" vehicle. the GF knows already that the truck isn't getting replaced.

Mine is my first vehicle for myself (first was borrowing mom and dads 89 Astro Van). I paid half and my parents paid the other (I never spent a dime in high school, just saved money). I've had 10 good years with my truck and the memories alone from it are priceless. I've been through many things with my truck (a brick mailbox.....lol). Just all the vehicle specific information I've learned over the past decade for my truck really keeps me from the thought of getting rid of it. It has 150,000 miles on it, still runs strong, and still gets 26 miles highway. I'm gonna drive this thing till the wheels fall off and then get some new wheels and drive it till those fall off.
I love my truck and even if Famke Janssen (biggest crush in the world) said she would marry me if I got rid of my truck, I would seriously tell her NO!
............ok I would have to think about that.

i would have a hard time putting a price on mine. i know what its monetary value is but the time, blood and sweat into it as well as the memorys made in it are worth way more to me than the money. a couple years ago i was offered 12,000 cash for it and turned it down, the truck isnt for sale and probably will never be.
