How much are new PATs keys from the dealer?

I had 2.. now im down to one. Its in this house somewhere... but who knows where.

Also, is there a way I can get a PATs key with the cool little blue Ford Oval on the actual key instead of the plain ugly black key?

edit:
and what Other vehical keys will work in my truck? Like will an F150 key work?

Check Ebay, that'w where I got my Jeep and Ranger chipped keys. Problem you have is that you need two to program a key. Dealer is about 100 bucks to do that if you only have one key.

$100-$150 to get a new key cut and programmed by the dealer, then you can buy a blank off ebay and get it cut and program it yourself. There are a lot of different key heads out there. Some are even clear so you can see the chip and everything. Look around and you'll probably be able to find a blank with the head you are looking for.

-you can get the ones with the oval IF the dealers has that kind. they are higher priced than the black headed ones, so we ususally get those to save money. most people dont care if it saves them money. yes the f150 key ('04 and up) will work, but yes they do have to be programmed. price depends upon the dealer labor rate. big dealers, highe rate, country dealers, less. ours is $40. if you have two working keys, you can program one yourself, but if you only have one working key, it has to be done at a dealer...... hope that helps...

you have to go into the shop if you only have 1 key. it'll be 50 bucks plus 20-30 bucks for the key. you can open the doors w/ a plain key, but not start it.

Price differs by location. Here in MN, dealers charge about $150. Locksmith is about $125 here. It has to be done by the dealer or a locksmith if you have only 1 key because of the programming issues. After 2, you can program them and have up to 8 in all.

When I lost my key and I was down to one I got 2 made, $25 for each key and then labor for programming the key. The total was $133.

Ebay FTW! There was a thread about Fusion keys working on our trucks, they have the fob built in to the key, pretty sweet.

man if you were closer I could do it for like 50 bucks... owell. Best bet is get a key off ebay, call a locksmith, and take your truck to their shop, or see if you can meet them on the road somewhere (usually saves on the Service Call Fee). it shouldnt take more than 10 mins for a locksmith to program it.

but look at 75+ to get it.

Taking the VIN to the Dealer wont get you a key anymore (at least here), they stopped doing that awhile back.

i paid about $70-$80 here at the Ford stealership. but yea, like someone said, if you have 2 you can do it for the cost of the key plus getting it cut and just program it yourself.
