Hurst Shifter

Just placed my order for a Hurst shifter. Does anyone else have one? Likes/Dislikes? I have to replace my stock shifter so I found this and figured it would be a good upgrade.

I LOVE IT!!! I inspired 3 people locally to get 'em. lol.

The only thing I dislike is trying to cure the leaking issue they tend to have. They have this issue only because there is'nt a provision for a breather like the factory unit has.

love it. no complaints. you'll wonder why you never installed one earlier once you drive it.

Yeah, that's what I figured. The stock shifter is sooooo long and I've been having problems with reverse. My transmission teacher said that because the shifter bushings are bad the shifter is lifting up (like 1-2 inches) when I pull back for reverse and it's not fully engaging.

I love mine except for the added noise, and the leaky transmission I now have. I made the gasket to the specs on RPS, and it still decided to leak on me. I'm going to be re-making my gasket than taking it in the get the leak fixed.

Best thing I have ever done to my truck, by far.

Mine leaked like a sieve, but once I did the gasket thats on RPS, it stopped it. It still sweats a little out, but nothing that wouldnt happen with the factory breather.

I love mine. Mine only seeps a little after applying silicone to all surfaces that could leak.

At the shifter base. There's no transmission vent when a hurst is installed. some leak...some don't. It's been rumored that the newer Hursts have fixed the leaking problems.
