hydrolocked the 92

well i went out to the empty 905 freeway and we had just gotten alot of rain and so we decided to go offroadin and we were there for about 2 hours and havin fun and we found a big water hole to go through i said i have a full locker and mud tires lets try it. well it was deeper than we expected and so i hit it going a bout 40mph and we were about out i would of made it with the momentum i had and the engine just died. so i tried to start it and se wouldnt crank over. so we were still in about 2ft of water well the rear anyway and i was pulled out buy a guy with a nice yota. anyway i call my pops who is at home and tell him that the engine is hydrolocked so he is there within 26 minutes and we took all the spark plugs out and the engine still would no turn over. so we pushed is to get the engine to turn and about a gallon of water was in the upper intake and cylinders. so we get the water out put the plugs back in and she fired right up and was making so muck noise it wasnt funny. my dad said i had bent a valve of a rod it was freakin loud. so i start driving twards my grandpas house and the engine kept dying so i would slow to the shoulder and dump the clutch at about 15mph and she started up and she was runnin rough. so we get on the freeway again and start headin down and there was a loud BAMMM! so i just kept goin had to get there. about a mile later we got to the end of the freeway and BAMMM! another loud noise from the engine. and she just died i kept her rollin and when she stopped on the side of the road. my dad was following me so we got the tow strap and pulled me to my grandpas house and she is still sittin there. i am gonna get it home tommarow and takethe top end off. when the engine made those loud bamms oil was leakin all over the place my dad said i lost a rod and so there was a hole about 4" diameter in the bottom of the oil pan.there was so much water on the interior i am thinkin i pulled a Ricky!.so i will get pics tommarow when i get her home and tore down. this sucks i am just glad it wasnt the 03!

and again pics will follow and i am now in the search of a new 3.0 with less than 255k miles.

If you're going to go through the hassel of swapping in a new 3.0... Why not drop in a 5.0? It'll be a lot easier to find a good 5.0 and maybe a little cheaper, too.
