I was almost in a bad accident,, now I want I roll bar,,

I was behind a black honda suv who was behind a gold lexus suv, we are on the service road and either can turn left to go under the overpass or go straight, luckly I didnt go straight. We had a green light and I was almost halfway to the underpass when this black car comes from the right, T-bones a gray car in the lane right of me and clips the lexus causeing it to flip and spin,, I watched all this in horror as I kept driving, I could not stop with all the traffic behind me but as soon as I got to the tech center I reported the accident.. I kept thinking if I had gone straight I would have been in that accident and possibly flipped like the suv, and its not even a real suv it was the old camry bassed one and it looked like the roof just colapsed.

pic b is before
pic c is after

I know very bad sketches,, Im the white box,,

SO.... Im looking to invest in a FUNCTIONAL rollbar, Ive seen the thin flimsy ones and I want real protection if I can. I just want some comfort just incase I ever flip like that. So are there any real rollbars out there or do I need to find a place to fab one up and about how much would this cost?

Most roll bars that you can buy commercially are decorative and will not be of much use in a roll over. If you want one that is functional for safety, you will probably have to have one fabricated by a professional that deals in that kind of thing. Someone that builds race roll bars or cages would be the best source but it will be expensive also.

Ive been told I would need one that was welded to the frame for the best protection, that most bars are just for show, I still need to be able to use my bed though,,
