I can't find this part anywhere...
I have an 87 ranger 4x4 and my shifter is really loose. I think the shifter assembly is part #E6TZ-7210C. I have been looking online and everywhere says discontinued or sold out? How am I going to fix my issue? Thanks.

Yes, the older parts are getting hard to find.
You should have the Mitsubishi FM145 trans You may have to make your own bushings or hit a wrecking yard to see if they have an older trans and will part with the bushings. Not sure if the M5OD had the same size bushing or if it can be modified to fit. Here is the how to on those: TRS Magazine - Shifter Bushing Replacement |
Yes it's the FM145 trans. The shifter feels a little sloppy, was wanting to tighten it up a lottle. So there's no online place that sells a new shifter assembly?

Maybe here, might have to call them: Green Sales Company - Obsolete Ford parts, Lincoln, Mercury parts Green Sales Company, supplier of obsolete Ford parts and Lincoln / Mercury parts.- Our Ford parts inventory represents all Ford and Lincoln / Mercury products from 1950 to the present.
And here: Used gears and parts |
Thank you RonD, your always trying to help people on here. I really appreciate your time and advice you put into this forum. Thanks again and I'll search on there

I have been researching. Will a shifter assembly from a RX-7 turbo car work on my FM145? I read on a forum that it might work, it looks the same?....
