dude post some more pics of your roof, with and without the top, thats a pretty sweet idea, the thread you linked only has a couple crappy pics. Did you ever find a way to stop it from leaking?
And the yellow...a bit too yellow but nice job on spending under $30!

For a DIY paint job, you did a great job. As you said, it's a DD and NOT a show truck. I've done a few DIY body work projects on my past vehicles as well. It wasn't showroom quality, but it was much better then having peeling paint, rust holes, and body damage.

Good on ya bud!!! Slap the haters, they're just too scared to attempt anything themselves.

There will always be haters some form or another.

I just don't get why people keep saying you should have done more prep work. This wasn't meant to be perfect, I spent maybe an hour masking it up. I know how to mask a vehicle, I did my car inside and out and it took me about 4 hours just masking edges, an another 2 to lay down plastic. I did this for ****s and giggles.

that's the gun I used, it only cost me around $40 in the store.

You need to tint the windows and you should have painted the mirrors. But, yeah for a trail rig that is fine. Int he event you have to call for help there shouldn't be a problem spotting you.

So how much did this whole thing cost you total? This is a great idea for a trail truck!

Why thank you. I was either going to remove them, or make my own diamond plate flaps. I've got a a few square feet of plate sitting around.

And cost, around $30 for the paint. Less than 100 if you add the gun, tape, plastic, thinners, etc.

it looks good for not alot of prep time. it kinda reminds me of the cabs around here. they don't mask off anything. the exhaust is yellow, there is over spray and run marks on lower fenders. not the best way to run a business like a cab but who cares for a trail rig.

It's been raining the past couple days so I'll get a couple tomorrow. I need to roll on some more paint on the inside of the bed, it's hard to spray all the nooks and crannies. I really want to finish all the touch ups before whoring it out.

I'm going to go around and touch up all the over spray on the under side and wheel wells sometime this weekend weather permitting.

Thanks for all the positive feedback.
