I have a cracked head!

Well back in January I had the crank on the truck snap in half. I had someone drop in a used 4.0 with a 6 month warranty. I noticed I was losing coolant very slowly over the past month so I took it back. Turns out 1 of my heads is cracked! Now the trucks been at the garage for 5 days now and they still don't have the replacement heads. Slowly getting ticked off. Another month or so and I would have been paying for this out of my pocket.

that sucks

atleast you'll only have to cover the deductible..

Consider yourself fortunate you caught it in time.

What kind of warranty are you getting on the new heads? Where are they coming from?

jtfoxman 05-22-2007 01:23 PM

The heads are coming from the same place I got the motor from and i get another 6 month warranty from them.

good thing you don't have to pay for it, that would suck.

offtopic..
your truck looks like mine. well.. before it got totaled and fixed..

Yeah they do look alike. I don't see to many rangers that color, lots of explorers though.

my roomate just found out his was cracked...he's payin out the butt...he would rather get a new one b/c it would be MORE to fix it than what he bought the ranger for...but his moms sayin no..cuz the truck was bought in her name and she wants it later after he saves his money up to buy HIMSELF a new truck.

I found out today that i will not have my truck back until next Wednesday, almost 2 freaking weeks!! The mechanic is pissed because it's in his garage taking up space and I'm po'd because I have no vehicle. I figured the place i got the motor from doesn't care since there paying for it under warranty. On the bright side I'm only ending up paying $30 for oil and antifreeze.

I miss my truck and I'm sick of driving my wife's cavalier. I have to practically roll out of it and fall into it it's so low. I may have to go visit the truck to ease my mind, it is probably lonely.

Anyone else feel that attached to there vehicle?
