X2! I love my truck. Jeeps and full sized trucks serve 2 very different purposes. The Ranger IMO is a happy medium, small enough to go where most jeeps can go, and they have a bed to haul stuff.
I really dont understand all the hate for Rangers on this site! lol

Do you want a 2 or 4 door? Also you do know that Jeep production has stop for about 30 to 60 more days. Give this guy a call he is in Scottsdale and may be able to help you. Also tell him someone from JKowners.com recommend them. Jason at Airpark Dodge Chrysler Jeep

Jeep- offroads good, looks descent but costs 3x what my ranger did and the new V6 in them is a pile of poopy

i like how the fx4 off roads "really well" and the jeep off roads "good" lol. Rubicon vs FX4 would hurt that theory pretty bad lol I know the cost is there, but i have seen new Rangers go for close prices to the Jeeps these days. We're talking new for new. Talk old for old, a TJ's bang for buck would decimate a FX4's bang for buck off road any day. And the Jeeps retain value much better over the long haul
I'm not expecting to get a lot of hopes for the Jeep on this board. But it's a true off-roading vehicle with tons of aftermarket. I'm sick of the couple cheesy or stupid expensive lift choices for my Ranger. I'll get the same mpg as i do with my ranger, with a little more power than my 3.0L and be able to drop it in 4-lo, hit front/rear e-lockers and go to town!

Ranger- descent mpg, looks great, has a nice size bed, hauls trailers good, cheap to fix, offroads really well, doesn't cost a fortune to own, has plenty of leg room, oh did I mention they are by far the shapest small pickup on the road?

I think it's partially that I'm ready for something new/different. I'm sure the JK has it's pros and con's. I REALLY want a manual shift truck, a very capable 4x4 that I can lift without worrying about stupid torsion bars or picking between a $1800 lift or body lift. I can get everything for the JK. I'll miss my bed though for sure, that will take some getting used to. But when i stick that sucker in 4-lo and hit the e-lockers, i'll be grinning ear to ear!
It's been a happy/sad day so far today. I've be De-Modding my Ranger all morning. Caddy horns, PA, CB, Antenna, Hi-lift, Gerry can, HIDs, Rain guards, bed mat, pulled the tune out of it, i'll probably swap out my FX4 cluster back to the white face gauges, and anything else I can think of. I'm headed to storage to grab my stock pulleys/belt so I can swap out my under-drive pulleys and toss my stock clutch fan back in.
I'll miss the lil' Ranger. But i think it'll be short lived once I get my Rubi'

As much as I love my Ranger, I won't say that it is better then a Jeep off road, or imply such. I will say that it drives better on road and easier to fix.
You can't say a Ranger has more leg room then a Jeep. They are about equal in my book, and can you say full back seat?!?!?!
Oh, and just to **** people off.....

Watch that front axle, some have been known to crack and bend the outers. There is a sweet kit to brace and sleeve the tube.....

How is a Ranger easier to fix? I'd rather work on the TJ anyday. But have no experience with JKs, especially the V6
