I have sinned....Test Drove a '09 Rubicon
I couldn't help it. I went by the dealer and hopped in a '09, 6speed Rubicon. E-lockers, Electronic sway disconnect, manual trans, manual transfer case, hard top that pops off, 4:1 4-lo ratio, can go up to like 2 1/2' of water in it, factory KM2s, factory GOOD skids and rock sliders....hard to pass up.
I think my days of being a Ranger owner have peaked and are on a countdown. Dealership offered $6,500 for my Ranger...but thats not enough for me to bite. I strongly think I can get near $9,000 for it in this region. Used car guy said he had 3 people looking for a lifted 2wd mid-size pickup and would probably give more if I'd buy the Jeep today. I do have to de-mod it some before though.

Bumper is welded to the frame right now. I could still rig the Edge valance on it and cut the bumper off...but I think it's going with the truck. There are a few things that are going "for" selling my truck out here. big one is the bumper. People out here love bumpers on lifted trucks lol.

A)Aftermarket Accessories/Backup
B)SIZE, there are trails out here that if you were the only one in a full size, the little Rangers and Jeeps will leave your ***. Just too big.
C)I don't really need to haul anything (toys). And if I did, I wouldn't buy a gas burner (Cummin's FTW)
D)It's a freakin Jeep. lol. I wouldn't buy a plain jane one though, Rubicon is what I'm lookin for!

if you get one is it going to be new? they only bad things I have herd about the 07- 09 jeeps is that they have less torque than the older ones because they went with a 3.8L instead of the 4.0L. I've only had my 06 rubicon for about a month and its amazing how capable they are with all the options they come with from the factory

I'm not sure how you can compare a F150 and a Jeep? totally different playing fields. I'm going with a jeep for
