I need new car insurance... i got questions

Since dad died, and all insurance is under him, I will need new insurance rather quick. I am 26, 2 accidents, 1 not my fault, the court found me at fault for the second with complications or something, there were two tickets on the second one that i was found guoilty with notes or something, it was a clean 'guilt' thing.. anyways, do i HAVE TO tell my new insurance that i was in two accidents?

It depends on how recent they were. Most insurance companies will ask if you were in an accident in the last 5 years or something like that. Be honest with them about the accidents and how many points you have on your liscense. This way when they give you a quote it will be accurate, and not leaving you asking WTF when you get your first bill in the mail.

so is $1600 a year for both trucks a good deal?

sambob117 11-06-2007 01:49 PM

I pay ~1200/yr with one, looks good to me

insuance companys will be looking at your driving record. they will see everything they need. dont say anything that is not asked.

NJ has some crappy insurance prices, so I can't compare mine to yours. That's a great price compared to mine with 2 trucks.

1200 a year is not bad at all...

Silver 11-06-2007 02:28 PM

boy i must be lucky with 750.00 a year

those accidents & points are going to kill you so thats not a bad price

enraged_hunter 11-06-2007 02:29 PM

heck with my record i pay 1400 every 6 months

Sonic04Edge 11-06-2007 02:36 PM

I pay just shy of 1100 with some heavy discounts for just my truck. Not the car or the explorer.

1600ish isn't too bad Dave seeing as one vehical is for business/commercial use.

EdGe_wannabe 11-06-2007 05:22 PM

I'm about to be paying $1600 every 6 months with 1 wreck and 2 laying drag tickets. But that's not for the Ranger.
