it's like chasing the dragon.. that you never catch..

My truck has been lifted and lowered. She has had 5 different sets of rims and 4 different sets of tires in 4 years. I have spent more on mods than she is currently worth.

Welcome to the club.

Ok,so I've been registered here now for a couple of weeks...

In that short time I have bought a set of brand new Cragar rims, which after 1 week I have traded for a set of American Racing Outlaw II's, bought a set of used 31's and traded them mounted on the cragars and bought myself a nice new set of 31" Cooper Discoverer STT's and having them put on the AR's. I also traded my Sony headunit for a stock unit which has the 6 disc in dash changer and mp3 compatibility.

Next up is a set of shackles, probably after christmas and then maybe a Flowmaster muffler. I'm too deep in debt right now (from the truck btw, lol) to be buying any more toys, plus the fact that I am trying to save up so I can move from Ontario to Alberta before June, when I was already supposed to be there this November, but due to unforseen truck repairs and bills piling up, I've had to stay longer and pay up.

I'll be in the Airdrie area. My girlfriend moved out there last September to go to university and was going to come back next September, but she has an aunt who lives out there, but is moving to New Brunswick...actually,she's leaving tomorrow for NB..but she has left the house for us to stay in rent free,as long as we pay the bills. I told her "screw coming back to this crap hole, I'll just meet you out there and bring all our crap in the truck." Actually, she may fly back out here to help pack stuff up when I'm ready to leave, and then we'll drive out there together, because it's going to be like a 3 or 4 day drive as it's like well over 2500 miles from here.

Ontario's economy and workforce is in horrible shape and Alberta is in quite good shape compared to the rest of the country and has the lowest unemployment rate in Canada. I've heard of many recent success stories of people moving out there and finding good jobs quickly. I am a licenced HVAC technician, so I should have no trouble finding work out there.

You shouldn't have any problem finding work there with huge national parks like Banff,Jasper and all the ski resorts. I would also recommend British Columbia, but the cost of living is rediculously high, as are the taxes. Alberta is fairly cheap, and Saskatchewan is even cheaper, but there's nothing out there.

Good luck with it. Our economy is slowing down and going into a recession, but experts are saying our economy won't suffer as bad as the US, so pack up and get up here ASAP, even if it's just with the shirt on your back.
