I Shouldve been quieter when talking selling

I introduced myself as a new member and wondering wether to keep my 92 Ranger almost a week ago. It has a lot of issues, everyone told me I shouldnt put a bunch of money into it and so my intentions was to take it to auction tonight. Well it apparently has other plans. I was talking to a friend in front of it yesterday about him picking me up after the auction. My little red buddy had other plans and decided it was payback time, it all started an hour later!!!
I blew the drivers side caliper, got that fixed just as dark hit, still no brakes, borrowed my brothers escort to get home, this AM went back got new caliper my nephew said the one had blown out. I was trying to limp it thru auction and not put brake pads or rotors on it. So this morning I decided to put fresh rotors, pads on it. Got it done finaly!! put back to gether after the learning curve (I dont do much mechanic work) got in started to town to get gas and screech etc.. I turned around got my bro he said the passenger side had to be done. So with 2 rotors, 1 caliper and pads I now have all new front brakes. I cant get my needed money plus the added brakes out..... I decided tonight to keep him. I now have to get the other 2 spark plugs and wires changed and a u joint. Then I will be good to go for another day.. OH my niece got in on the fun she changed out my fuel filter while I was doin other stuff... sooo with all said I am down $135+ bucks doin the work myself and definitly gona continue to be a ranger man. The best part of it al is I did all the work myelf, usualy I beg my nephew or others to help or do itl. Have a good weekend all.

they always have a way of doing that. I swear, vehicles have souls in them... call me crazy but thats the case with me. My Bronco was a female, and my Ranger is sure as hell a tough little ***** herself. Every 28 days, I go through a spell where she gets all slow, starts leaking and complaining, when I go to fix it it's stopped... sick but it's true.

My Bronc died where she belonged... in the mountains. She never gave warning, died piecefully and lived a hard life...

the ranger... feisty little *****... she's got a bad attitude and wants things done her way... it sucks!

If thats the case, my ranger doesn't like me or is just using me.

If you take care of her she'll treat you good for the most part.

I've sank so much money into mine that I have no way of getting it back, so I figure I'll just keep it. No sense in selling it in my opinion, because I have put so much into it.

And now I need to change the alternator because it's starting to go out! After that, I pretty much have a brand new motor :).

It always feels good to do things yourself. Sometimes it costs 3 times as much but....
Remember as you work on your older trucks: low taxes, low insurance, and you are not paying a $400 month truck payment.
Like they say, "It's cheaper to keep her." :)
