my ext. cab 2 door truck came with nice optional wheels... looks soo much better than those chrome things...

btw I'm actually really glad I got the 2 door ext. cab because of cab strength so if I wheel / trail ride the heck out of it it will be stronger, still need a cage...

All the 07+ Rangers are pretty lame and cheap if you ask me. I wouldn't buy brand new.

I think 01-03 was probably their best years.

BTW, my 02 came with 245/75/16's stock, and 2" blocks.

You can still get 255/70 16s on the 09 FX4s.

You can still get 4 door or 2 door extended cabs. I prefer the 2 door because if im carrying tools, they are in the bed of the truck anyway, and i dont like rattly suicide doors personally.

Yes they are lowered, easy enough to change if you are so inclined. I was so inclined, but i just did the front to level it out. I might put some 31s on later, but ill change it then.

The Ranger is cheap to buy, even new, its profitable for Ford, it helps their truck CAFE numbers, and its still the choice for most fleet companies due to cheap operating costs and reliability. I got my 09 for just over 16K. Doesnt a 4 banger Tacoma regular cab START at more than that? even with rebates its gonna cost a ton more.

Aside from them being lowered and not having a manual transfer case, i dont get the hate for the newer trucks on here. In fact, the only real gripes i have with the 07+ trucks is the minor decontenting (no visor mirrors, cheap dome light, only grey for interior colors). I welcome the T6 as i feel the Ranger was outdated even 10 years ago, but i worry that they will go the way of Nissan, Toyota and GM by making the trucks too damn big.

my 08 has visor mirrors. at least on the passenger side. i've neer seen a 2 door ext cab after 98. i kno you guys say that they are available, but all the ones i've seen are 4 doors. mine came with 255/70R16 on the same rims grafix guy has. as far as i know those rims were standard up here on the xlt 4x4s. those chrome steelies or the other cast aluminum ones were on the 2wds.

If i was mid roll in a truck, id feel better halfway through the tipping process if i had a sturdy B pillar.

The US is strict on their crash testing. If the 4 door wasn't safe then they wouldn't have been made.
