heh it says 'factory' but no specific model.. in 2000, the 302 was a 'factory' option in the explorers- sucks to be an 02+ in that case i guess.. and people are sayin they want a 4.6L, 2.3L 4x4, and pre-01's are sayin they want the 4.0L SOHC, so I think it's fair for me to want the 302 as an option

If I had to choose one thing it would be a 5-Speed(manual) Tranny.

I would get the cloth split bench just to have a more supportive and more comfortable seat. I like the vinyl covering a lot, but the foam padding leaves a lot to be desired.

Also, I'd probably get an automatic (yes, even with the 2.5L). I drive in heavy traffic a lot and the manual gets old. It is fun when there is no traffic, but not being in traffic is rare for me. An automatic would also entail a 4.10 gear ratio from the factory which would be nice (manual 4 cylinders get 3.73s standard with 4.10s optional, automatic 4 cylinders get 4.10s standard).

Also, I would say that I would change the color to blue, but blue was not available for XL models in 2001. In 2001 you could only get an XL in white, black, tan or red. Of those colors I would take red. I like the XL package except for the lack of color choices.

Ya I agree. I like them alot on lifted trucks, I wouldn't want one on my truck the way it is, but if it was lifted I would think about it.
