New truck or not?
ive got about 2 years left on payments for my truck, about $4400...
I want to install a manual trans, re-gear and larger tires. I would KILLL for a level II, i desperatly want an extend cab with a manual...but with spending all that money, would ya'll: 1.) pay the truck off first, 2.) or sell my truck, and buy a new '08, or used (local dealership) Level II??
3.) Just do things to it here and there and keep making payments and not worry about it??
A guy at work was saying ford is cutting a chunk outa the prices now cuz there trying to sell vehicles.....I mean either way im gonna be make pay ments??

I think if you trade in you'll owe more for it.. but private sale you may break even (depending on how many miles your truck has).
I dunno.. pay more each month if you can, get it paid off as quick as possible.. then enjoy not having payments! lol Then you'll have money to do an auto-manual swap, turn it into a mini-FX4 LII.

And finding a Level II is hard in itself , I hounded the ford dealer for 8 months before I baught my jeep I went there weekly for almost the last 3 trying to help them find one they jusst couldnt do it .
I say keep it , if my single cab hadnt had all the problems it did I would have kept mine but coming up with a new tranny and engine was a tall order compared to a down payment .

Step #1 - look on KBB and craigslist to see what you could get for your truck (don't even consider trading it in... seriously)
Step #2 - calculate what's leftover after paying off your truck
Step #3 - find price on new truck and calculate goal down-payment as well as monthly payments
If all that jives then I always say new truck... i like to start fresh and make it MINE.
Also I know Ford's been trying to blow out F150+ but I don't see many deals on the Rangers unless it's an accross the board deal... I do like the extra cash back if you've had Fords before :-D

I think you shouldnt put money into the truck if its not what you want. either pay off the one you have now and get a new one or just say screw it take you loss and get a new one. then put the money and mods onto that one... I have found that level II's are really hard to find also there was one for sale here it was a 05 with just over 40k miles, dsg, double lifted on 35's and the lot was asking $18,990. I havent seen a stock one forsale yet.

i REALLLY want a level II, i tried to get this local deler to trade my toyota in for a level II before i bought my ranger....It was an 02 with 110,xxxx...he wanted 8900 for it...Well I really would like to have one, but who knows whats going to happen with the economy and my job, so it may be best to pay mine off and then either sell it, or keep it and make a trail rig, then buy a level II for a DD......
The only reason i want a level II is 1) extened cab 2) twin sticks 3) skids) 4) interior.......
I could make all but one of those work for me with the MULA!!! Ill just see what happens...thanks guys
