Post newb question ??

Hey guys im totally new to the ranger side....i build custom samurais and sidekicks but im dumb about this ranger........question?....will a 1996 cab fit properly on a 2000? both are single cab trucks....Thanks

do you mean will any 1996 cab fit on my 2000 frame? it should. don't quote me though.
these trucks from 93-2010 didn't have much change. just cosmetic. 93-97 was one generation. 98-99/2000 was another. then 01-03 or 04 was one. then the current style. as for the cabs, all looked the same but panels and bumpers were changed.
extended cab is different since there are 2 doors and 4 doors. but those are structural changes and do not affect you since all you asked for was the reg cabs.
some of the emissions stuff might be different and 98/99 (can't remember, but someone will) saw a change in engine from 4.0L OHV to 4.0L SOHC and a switch from a vacum 4wd system to a live axle 4wd.
to swap different generations' front ends requires more work. the header panel needs to be swaped so the headlights and such will fit and also the hood.

ok took some measurments today and WOW there are a lot of differences in the 2. to be more precise about 4in everywhere you look lol. .......i guess ill b good from 98-02 ? ........these single cabs r harder 2 find i found 5 x-cabs today that were all perfect with junk v6s....nothing against them just looks like there broke more often

93-97 cabs are compatible.

98-11 cabs are compatible.

between 97 and 98 there are differences.
