Installing A/C in 2006 Ranger
I am looking for advice on what to do with my Ranger that has no A/C installed. I bought this ranger used from a dealership and didn't realize until i was halfway home that there was no A/C installed!
I know it seems crazy that I wouldn't have noticed this before I bought it, but this truck has a 3.0v6, power locks and windows, CD player, etc... and with the options it has i took it for granted that it had A/C.
Anyway... I'm not a total wimp that can't handle the heat and in fact i enjoy having the windows down in the summer, its just that i work in an office and I don't want to be a sweaty mess when i go into work.
My question is... Is it really a big deal to get an A/C installed? or even to do it myself? I'm not real mechanically inclined but i could have help from those that are. Or maybe I should just get used to it...
Any advice would be appreciated!

It all depends if there are still wires and hoses run to where the compressor should be. It also depends if the truck had ac on it at one point in time and somebody got rid of it because they were too cheap to buy a new compressor. If it is that big of a deal to you, cant you still claim the "lemon law" and take it back?

I don't think it was ever installed because the dials on the dash don't even indicate a/c. Lemon law may apply although I don't know much about it, seems like you need a history of failures on a vehicle for that...
I checked the advertisement for the truck and it clearly is advertised with A/C, so that may give me some leverage with dealer.
Thanks for replying.
