interchangable hoods?
 

I hit a deer with my 03 edge and I am wondering if hoods from a 93+ ranger/explorer or even 2000s that is not an edge will swap over. I am pretty much trying to repair this as cheap as possible with any parts that will fit. I am located in houston tx in case anyone wants to sell their stuff.

01+ Ranger hoods are similar and most will work but it's the grill and headlights that aren't interchangeable. What would fit for yours is 01-03, you grill doesn't cut into the hood. 04+ got a larger grill and the hood was designed to fit it.

I'd replace it with an edge hood from your years (01-03) as those were known as "powerdome" hoods and 04+ were reduced in height.

It's all preference really as most parts from 93-12 were interchangeable. A guy on here took a 90's truck and put a 01 front flip on it. Then put the 90's front end on the 01 truck to sell.

Exploders and Mazda trucks would require fenders, grills and hood to work. Not to mention would look weird because of all the body lines not lining up.
