Shaking Engine (Videos) 4cyl

Awhile back, I thought my drivetrain had some play in it, but today, i was sitting there, and reved it some, and noticed it was doing some of the same jerking in neutral that is was doing going down the road, if you let off the gas and mash it again. So my question is, is this an unusual amount of shake when you mash the gas? To me, it sure does jerk alot for just to be sitting in neutral, even the shifter jerks alot.........Heres the videos........

*EDIT* the first 25 seconds in the first video, doesn't really show how much the engine shakes, but the rest of it does. Also, you can feel it jerk some when you mash the gas in neutral.

I tried to look around under there, but couldn't really see them too good.....also, both have some sort of plastic cover over them or something and I couldn't see the rubber mount part. Also found out that i'll have to replace one of those gaskets or what ever on the base of the shifter area, cause the foamish black piece that goes inbetween the trans. and cab is soaked with oil.

From the engine bay shot, your motor mounts have the slightest amount of play, that's to be expected in a 6 year old truck.

In the cab I have no idea. Never seen a stick shift jump like that.

Yeah i have to agree with the guys who say that looks pretty normal. I know my 98 2.5 stick has a broken motor mount now and it shakes a whole lot more than that. Thats around what normal was before my mount broke.

On my '96 2.3L, when off-roading or comming offthe line kinda hard, my shifter jumps all over the place. Comming off the line hard, it's not unusual to see my shifter tilt on over towards the pass side about 2-3" before it returns to normal.

well like i was saying, mine did that.
then i changed the motor mount and it doesnt move now.

i would check your motor and trans mounts.

the mount on my truck was oil filled and split in half, im not sure what they used on the 2.5L but im almost positive its the same thing.
