Issues after replacing valve cover gasket

I took everything apart and reassembled everythig according the Haynes repair manual, the vehicle started up rough..here the list of problems that are occurring none of which occurred before doing the replacement;
1) Wet and dripping exhaust pipe
2) Shakes while stopped at a ligh, reversing and when Iím around 50mph.
3) Acceleration takes awhile by the time I know the pedal is almost all the way down.
ive checked everything now Iím debating weather to disassemble everything again.
help would be nice lol
The pictures were taken when I took it off the valve cover..

2.3l DOHC Duratec, a Mazda L engine

What year?
The early models in Rangers had IMRC which was vacuum operated, this would effect operation if it wasn't working

Lack of power can be valve timing, do compression test with all spark plugs are out
Compression ratio is 9.7:1 so expected compression would be 170-175psi cold engine
This would be timing chain tensioner issue

The code PO303 popped up on my scanner and while I was waiting at the light my door ajar light came on and turned off then my dash light went out...Iíve checked the plugs and boots but still running rough.

Swap spark plugs 2 and 3 and see if P0303 changes to P0302
Replace #2 spark plug if it does

You may have cracked a spark plug on removal and install, not uncommon

The way the ignition works on that engine, for the test you needed to switch 2&3 not 1&3.

RonD is trying to help you and you don't follow his instructions.
