James Duff Possible SAS Kit...

just got the new catalog in the mail today and they seem to be planning on making a sas kit using there stage 3 radius arms. dont know if any has heard anything about it, but it says to look for some new stuff in the near future. could be just what some of you guys are looking for for your 93-97 rangers. as of right now it says they have different brackets to bolt on the frame for rangers and a chart for the proper "c" bushings for the amount of lift you plan on.

similar? if your talking about fabritech you must be joking.

im talking about a kit you can actually take wheeling. i hope they do because there wont be as many dumb questions from kids that want to do a sas and dont have a clue how to do it.

duff makes some good stuff, dont care what anyone says. never had a problem with them. and there main focus is early broncos and rangers. they do a lot of r/d before stuff hits the market and they make sure it works both on and off road.

A bolt on or almost bolt on sas for rangers would be sick. id think about doing a sas on my dd if they came out with one.

A coil sprung truck with a steering box is a much better candidate for a kit.

that is the one. i dont really care for "kits" too many setup options and things that could be done differently to come out with a kit.

it appears duff has some great products. they need to work more in the newer rangers too.

i dont really care for kits either but some guys with limited fab skills could really benefit from a kit. n3elz your right about the steering box truck for a kit. you rack ans pinion guys will have to continue making your own sas

i wish i would have saved this one picture but this guy ran a SAS still utilizing the rack and pinion on the 98+ rangers.... it was a hack job but pretty crazy that he got it to work.

thats why i said for 93-97 rangers. no company can or will offer a kit to swap out your ifs front. its to risky. i mean if they offered a kit they'd have to basicly be an in house job like camburg does for most of its kits.

Not true. Cage offroad makes a kit for 99-06 IFS fullsize chevy's that is virtually bolt on. Its just the fact that 98+ rangers arent seen as a viable market.
