Towing with the Ranger - WHAT have you towed ?

I have a small tractor TLB, weighting in around the 2800 mark and a trailer I am guessing around 1K, total 3800 lbs.
I want to pull with and stop with this trailer attached to the Ranger.

I think I know the OEM Limits but what have you guys pulled and what weight are we talking ?

Thks

I havnt towed anything in my current truck but my 94 2wd is another story. Me and my dad beat the **** out of that truck, good thing it was a gluton for punishment. It was loaded with logs over the cab daily and towed boats, trailers, chippers and stump grinders. That was a great truck.250***+ on the clock and still running strong. I had to crash it to kill it and that was just a lot of body damage, still ran great on its way to the yard

I towed my 96 with my 98. My 96 was bagged and my 98 was lifted with 33's and 3.73's lol Lets just say that little 4 banger got the job done but I wouldn't do it again. lol

6500 pounds of landscaping bricks on my car hauler

I would estimate I had loads of rocks from the back yard that weighed over 9k plus the trailer.

Car hauler filled with dirt from front to back that was about 3 to 4 feet deep.

Mini-excavator

Case 1840 skid steer

21 foot 5th wheel camper.

Numerous loads of scrap metal that grossed truck and trailer over 10k pounds.

BTW, most all these loads were comfortable pulled at highway speeds.

a couple of 5x8 trailers. maybe 2k lbs. No problems.

one time I pulled a 3600 lbs pole lift and had no issues. Def could tell it was back there though.

I moved a crown vic on a open trailor around the the corner and it was not liking it. I do have a manual though so that is prob why.

You'll be fine. Trailer have brakes? If not, not a big deal, just take your time slowing down.

Not a whole lot. Just this bike on our old single motorcycle trailer, haven't use the two motorcycle trailer yet since I don't have a hitch receiver anymore.

Pinto and the hauler was around 400lbs. I also used to haul a 12' flatbed trailer with a 60" Dixie Chopper on it and all the other lawn equipment I used.
