Icon5 I'm Blue!

Check out my new mod....

(it is 4 individual 4 LED pods)

I'm going to to red ones like this in my Evo, but I'll be putting in a few more as I have more room on the floor.

UPDATE: EVO is done now, If you like this mod you'll love how the car came out.. I used RED.

So I decided to install some LED footwell lighting underneath the dash and also behind the front seats. Here are the photos taken at night without flash.

Here is the switch install...

I'm really happy with how they came out. I have it wired with the switch to the cigarette lighter wire. This way in order for them to be on both the switch must be on, and the parking lights must be on. (who would want them on during the day right? Also - I wanted the ability to turn them off if i felt like it)

I'm looking into getting a dim white LED cluster for doign taht saem type of thing.. when you open the doors or turn the interior lights on, have it light up the floro as well.. I've had MANY a lost things rolling around down there on the road and night, and had to get a flashlight out plus digging around trying to find it on the side of the road

Double sided stickey tape (the strong 3M type) - I wired it to the fused side of the radio fuse. On the drivers side I had to take off the panel under the steering wheel. I flush mounted a switch (incase I want to turn them off), when I turn the key off they automatically go off.

The drivers side was a bit trickier, I used a small piece of plastic from some tupperware I cut off to hot glue a bracket together to mount the LED. It's hard to explain unless you see it and I didn't take step by step pictures of this mod like I usually do. You can't see the bulbs without climbing under the dash.

I bought WAY too many LEDs for all the mods I have been doing. I will either return them or post a FS thread.

Looks good, but I hate any unnecessary lights on in the truck at night when I am driving.

I have them on a switch i turn them on or off as I please. My dome light is on when I open the door, and it would overpower these LED's. If you have seen my dome light thread you would definitely understand.
