No, OBD2 reader can't do that

Most locksmiths can erase old numbers and add the new, a mobile locksmith can come to you

To get the vehicle to a locksmith without towing it, try this, assuming you have at least one working Old Key
Wrap the new keys black handle in aluminum foil and insert it in the slot
Put old key next to the slot and turn on the key
The "theft" light should go out if old key's number was read properly and you can now start and drive the vehicle, the PATS key test is ONLY done on startup, key is not tested again until next startup, so engine won't stall out, at least for that reason, lol


Each PATS key has a unique number inside, if there are TWO PATS keys close to the ignition key slot at the same time, BOTH will transmit their numbers so PATS will just get garbled mix of numbers
Wrapping new key in foil should block it from sending its number

And just a heads up, if you attempt to start a PATS equipped vehicle 3 or 4 times and get the fast flashing "theft" light, PATS will lock down the computer for 60-90minutes, so even with the correct key it will not start
So you have to wait, unhooking the battery won't help, you just have to wait, its an "anti-theft system", and a pretty good one

Thank you for the information. I went ahead and put the old tumbler back until I get the truck to where I can have the codes changed. Old one works fine I just wanted to replace everything since one door lock handle broke, I thought while I was in there to replace the handle I would go ahead and replace both door locks and the ignition tumbler since I already had the column down to replace the shift tube bushings and retainers.
