kinda productive 2 days off

Sunday was a beautiful day, like 50+ degrees...But I had to work. Monday and Tuesday were miserable in comparison. Didnt feel like it got above 30 degrees. Got the truck finished Tuesday night around 3am...Then Wednsday, wouldnt you know it, another 50+degree day...F Oklahoma weather in the A.

So my clutch got really bad in it's final days. Had to drive my ex's purple colbalt for a couple days. Got the truck over to my buddy's house...Had to shut the truck off and put it in first gear everytime I stopped at a light, because it would just not go into first. When I get there, my buddy is out, so I start without him. See if I can find out what the hell was making such a terrible rattle. I jack up the truck and two bolts were missing on one side where my Y pipe meets my headers...and 1 bolt was missing on the other, another bolt was loose.

I took the exhaust, Y-pipe and gas tank off while waiting on my buddy to get back and do the clutch. We drained the trans...there was 5 teeth that came out with the fluid :icon16: and the trans fork (thats what he was calling it) was off center, my clutch plate was cracked around 3 of the springs...He said it was because the trans fork was not strait. I didnt have any batteries in my cam to take pics and we had to give the old one up to save like $6.

So instead of getting a nice clutch, we just replaced the clutch plate. Im probably going to be rebuilding the trans before long. Replaced the fuel pump, which was easy...

While the driveshaft, Y pipe and Exhaust were laying in a corner all dirty and neglected...I decided they could use a clean...While I was cleaning them, I found some extra high temp primer, paint and clear...So I painted them....Pics...
