Hi there
I know theres so much on here about steering leaks,iv been reading it for days. Please could anyone tell me if the seal i need to get has a number and should my local ford garage be able to get It. I ordered one 4weeks ago but they just say they have a prob getting it. My friends husband says he should be able to fix it if i get the seal.In the meantime its leaking all over the place.

It's hard for use to provide you with any information with the lack of information you gave us. What year, model, engine, 2wd or 4wd, what exactly is leaking and what seal are you talking about?

 

Hi Chris, thank you,sorry i thought all steering was the same. Its a 2.5 and its 05 reg.i run it in 2wd most of the time but i can put it in 4wd when i need to.Its got Thunder written on the door.It has quite a hard life because i use it for taking feed to sheep on the fells.
My friends husband said its leaking from the power steering seal,thats all said so il ask for more details. Im getting a bit worried about it because i have to run it every day and its leaked loads all over my street.

Yeah you'll have to find out what seal is exactly leaking. As it could be the power steering pump, rack and pinion or even a hose. There's just to many seals in the power steering setup to just ask which seal you need without us knowing which seal it is.

If you could take a picture of where it's leaking that would help as well.
