Krylon Fusion red comparable to Ford red?

I want to paint my truck's grille, but am undecided on what to use to paint it. In my garage I have some black paint for automotive trim as well as Duplicolor primer, Duplicolor clearcoat and the correct shade of Duplicolor red paint. The black paint for trim would work, but I think I would prefer the grille to be red...I just don't know if the plain Duplicolor primer and paint will stick very well to the plastic grille. My third option would be to get some red Krylon Fusion. My only concern there is that it might be a different shade of red than my truck and it would stick out. What do you guys think? Has anyone used bright red Krylon Fusion on the exterior of a bright red truck?

my friend used the fusion on his and it is hard to get even, and it also shows up as gloss, i painted mine black and like it better a flat black instaed of gloss. althought yours has bigger pieces, IMO i think it would look the best painted black on ur red truck

Buy a street scene chrome mesh grille, painting the grille you have will just look odd. And since it's chromed and not plastic, the paint will probably not stick to it like an Edge grille.

My grille isn't chrome...it was badly faded/stained gray.

I went ahead and painted it black with the Plasti-Kote bumper paint I had. It came out alright. Like the Fusion, it is difficult to get even coverage with it, but it still looks 100x better than what I had before. I also painted the plastic peice behind the grille so that it didn't stick out. For $4 it was definately worth it. I'll get pics tomorrow if I can.
