i got a cherry bomb and the clamps and hanger for $25 at auto zone, a little saw zaw work and clamp was all it took, about 10 minutes of work and 25$. thats pretty cheap sounds pretty good till you floor it. then you just hear air go straight threw.

Dynomax is a good, reasonably priced brand. My Dynomax cat back system was $190 from Summit Racing, and came with all of the required hardware to install it (except for new flange bolts if you want new ones, $3 at Auto Zone). The fit is perfect, and it has a nice sound. Even on my 4 banger, it does not sound ricey. If you want something really loud, you might want to look at something else, but for a reasonably priced, nice sounding, quality muffler or cat back kit, you should look at Dynomax.

I second the Dynomax choice. I only paid $160 and it sounds nice but not overly loud.

straight pipe it. a couple of 2" 45 degree elbows for $10 a piece, a short chunk of 2" tubing for cheap, hacksaw...bye bye muffler, and a couple of exhaust clamps. That'll do it.

another good way to go cheap.....replace JUST the muffler.

^^^^^2.25 inch pipe...
