Welp this morning I changed my oil. and to my surprise I had tranny fluid dripping from around the tranny. I checked the fluid levels and they were a lil low, but since I have no tranny fluid, and I was going to the dealer anyways, I said screw it, if it blows up on the way - great, finally a new tranny.

ok so i get to the dealer, I tell em all the stuff thats wrtong which is like 2 pages... heres the list:

steering wheel shrinkage - they need the ford rep to look at it
drivers front wheel is begining to corrode - see above
driversside mirror shakeage - ordered a new one.
driverside door lock - ordered a new one
tranny leaking - turns out ALL the bolts were loose, and ready to fall out, I kinda feel bad that they didnt.


truck threw an idle? code so they replaced some idle solenoid or something

soo I ended up taking it to Al marrone ford - D knows them... different dealer than who I was taking it to. Al maroone is actually closer by about 10 minutes and 3 miles. soo oh, and they seemed to be quicker, and more thorough. so the dude said hed call me when the stuff comes in.

 

Dang man your list is like my list each time I take my truck to the dealer, long and a bunch of stuff.

 

I wish the dealers around here had service like that. everything with my trucks was that not covered its wear and tear.


But one thing to keep in mind is keep an eye on the tranny bolts and make sure they stay tight. I have had to keep checking mine because they keep loosening up just enough to leak.

 

i kinda wish something was ever wrong with my truck.... my girlfriend's dad owns the dealership and is also live 2 streets over from me...i ordered a new air valance that i knocked off and it was there 2 days later from texas, and i didn't even talk to her dad about it
