Left side susp raised really high.. Severe lean..

My 2003 Ford Ranger single cab 2.3 l 4 x 2 has a severe lean. The left side suspension is raised four or five inches higher than the right side suspension. I'm not sure if the right side is sagging or the left side is raised up. There is obviously a problem with the rear suspension. It's way more than just the gas tank Ford lean. I've looked at the leaf springs in the back it looks like one has been jarred/cocked sideways, a little bit. If anyone has run across similar problems and found the solution? or knows a lot about stock suspension and what the problem is? and how hard it would be to do in a decent Home garage? or how much it would cost for parts and labor at a mechanic? Or i guess a parts list? I have pics I will try to upload. thanks for your help any help is appreciated.. P.s. sorry for the huge run-on sentences I use speech to text

Generally stuff doesn't go up, that's not how gravity tends to work so chances are the right side is sagging as opposed to the left side being lifted.

If I had to take a guess based off what you've said, it sounds like either the shackle or hanger has come loose/broken. I actually just replaced them
on my truck last weekend and they get really really rusty. The parts to get it fixed are only about 50 bucks (new shackle and hanger). The work is a different story. You have to
pull the bed off and (on the 1996 rangers at least) drill out the rivets for the hanger. If you know what you're doing it's isn't that hard. If you don't know what you're doing, its still
not to hard, just takes more time.

If you can get some pictures posted that would help me get a better idea.
