I was just watching Trucks! the other day and it dawned on me that I've never seen a Ranger on there. They did a killer S10 V8 project but no Ranger. What I'd like to see is a heads up competition between the S10K and a fresh V8 Ranger buildup. Don't you think that would make for some great TV? umm, stacy made a prerunner ranger years ago.

 

i think they have done a ranger on powerblock.. but i dont kno which show it was.. maybe xtreme4x4?

 

i'd offer for them to use my truck on the show... i just can't pay for anything, lol.

 

xtreme 4x4 did do one as well.

 

xtreme 4x4 just did one last season.....and Stacy David did one in the last season he was there.....

 

maybe 5 years ago, back when there were two hosts, (before it was just stacey hosting) there was a ranger prerunner he did. 95-97 if I remember right, 5.5" Fabtech, flared fronts, flared bedsides, bed mount spare...that's about it. 33's.


Let's not forget about ranger resurection! Hey...there's my girlfriend. She just had back surgury. Ranger Resurection was on Xtreme4x4 and was powered by a mean as heck 347ci ford. Was built out of a regular cab 2wd truck. Was sick as hell.

 

the one stacy did was a 2x4 pre runner and the one extreme did, although it was 4x4 sucked. more body roll then ive ever seen before. i think that seeing as ranger are the most common small truck i think this shouldve been done long ago. but make way for the future i predict seeing lots of toyota trucks soon. but until then i cant wait to see jessie(extreme4x4) getting that ranger fixed up. a pretty girl who knows more about trucks and offroading than i do. man i wish i could find a cute girl whos into trucks.

 

ya but i want to see them lower a 2wd ranger and put a 351 in there and compare it to the s10k

 

No Stacy did a 4" sus. lift on a ranger using a real high end kit. I think it was a class 2 skyjacker kit that replaced the radius arms and brackets. He showed how to lop off the old mounts and put on new ones. I'm going to look for it now..

 

No....I'm pretty dang sure It's a fabtech kit he used on the prerunner. It's a blue kit. Everything says fabtech on it. I've got the tape. 5.5" kit.

 

Stacy also gave a quick mention tot he RCD 4x4 lift for rangers at the end of one episode.

I wouldn't really call the ranger resurrection a ranger though. The only thing that was ranger was the cab and half the frame. Not to mention the truck died riding on gravel roads. For the amount of time and money spent it was embarassing.

I wouldn't want the tools on trucks to do anything to a ranger. I would rather see Stacey David to do it on Gearz. (Which premieres 3/31 BTW)

I hate those new guys. One of the hosts used to be on DIY restoring a scooter. wtf. I hate those tools who know nothing. Heck I miss the Chuck and Joe on Horsepower. I miss the two hosts of trucks when trucks started. The days before Courtney.....the day before danica...the days before Powerblock was even called powerblock. Back when it was just trucks and horsepower. I miss it.

Which time. I think a heim joint busted the first time and the suspension took a crap. The second time I think something went through the block.
