Lifting Question

As many of you know I finally took the plunge and spent some money and bought some lift spindles etc. for my truck and I have one question for you.

Will I have to extend any brake lines or anything else? I just don't want any supprises or have to run out and get any parts while I am in the middle of the installation.

Thanks for the help!

Mike

you should sell me your 32s after you lift

You will be all set. No need to extend anything.

No, you do not need to extend them.

I had to UNBOLT the "L" shaped hanger that holds it close to the frame though. It would tighten up too much at full lock.

I have a few concerns with mine, which I'm still trying to work out...when I go full lock, I lose brake pressure, the caliper hits the a-arm. When I did stevens truck (DCVRP) he had these cool little triangle thigns that bolt on the bottom of the a-arm that are new bump stops...thats what I need and I can't find em! I'd highly reccomend putting those on when you install. They are from fabtech, if you don't have them already.

Also just make sure your joints are good when you do it, if your ball joints are bad you are just polihing a turd...hate to say it but the lift spindle exacerbate any problems you have...when I did mine my upper right was bad...after I bolted it up and took it around it was acting up and wouldn't align...took me a day to figure that out :)

Sonds good Ricky. Thanks for the imput guys.

Justin, There's a chance I would be willing to do that after I get my tax check back. You want my old wheels too? I still have them.

I would recommend getting extended steel braided lines... When I put my lift spindles on my rubber lines kinda stretched and didn't want them to snap.

I've been running my setup for almost 3yrs...70k miles....never had a problem with brake lines...now like i said I do have a problem loosing brake pressure, I'm going to see if i can order those fabtech stops
