how do i make it run better?

I just bought a 2003 level 2 with 100k on it. replaced the oil, oil filter, transmission fluid, plugs, wires, installed a k & n cold air intake, and dynomax exhaust. someone suggested that i take to a dyno, but is it nessecary? should i check the timing agian? will the mods change the fuel mapping? I'm planning on changing the fuel filter also, in hopes for a little better mpg too. any words of wisdom or advice? thanks

Intake and exhaust will NOT change the fuel mapping. You could take yout truck to a dyno but with a stock truck i see no point in this. Are you wanting to fix a rough running engine or are you looking for more power? What engine and trans do you have 4x2 or 4x4? Your post is rather confusing.

ya what is exactly wrong. you said trans fluid did you do the filter too in the trans? if not that was pointless replace the filter too.

yes do a Fuel filter also.

Axle fluids are also good to do. i would assume the front diff is leaking from either cv seals or pinion its common.

The truck was not taken care of very well before i got it. so i was just looking to give it some TLC. is the trans filter hard to replace? im taking it on a long road trip and want to make sure its gonna make it. it runs great right now apart from being tuff to go into gear sometimes...i posted this issue under the drivetrain forum. yes its the 4x4 also. do you think i should check the timing again just because of the new mods ( intake and exhaust), or is their no need. thanks

May seem like an absurd suggestion, but I'd add one of these to the list:

I've always had good results.

I would suggest that too! Stuff works great no doubt about it.
