Well after a lot of searching I finally found a 98 ranger 4.0L, Long Bed, Standard Cab, 5spd. Just the way I like it. It's almost perfectly Identical. Now to do the sohc swap all over again lol. That's gonna be so fun!

Longbed? I didn't realize there were more options than just fleetside and flareside.

Yep 7'. I wanted one when I was younger, pretty rare in reg cab, 4.0L and 4wd.

Nice truck! What are your plans for it?

Well yeah they are extremely hard to find in that setup, but in my mind I want as much bed space as I can get. My dad has a dakota that has the long bed which is 8'. I wish the bed was the same size, but overall the ranger is extremely reliable and I wouldnt trade that for an 8' bed. Here is basically what I'm going to do it to. https://www.ranger-forums.com/4-0l-o...0l-sohc-93309/
I still have my old ranger that is wrecked. :/ My favorite color was black but I can't find one that is black in the same setup as my old one, so I took the hit. Besides red is a pretty good color. I also want to SAS this ranger like I didn't do to my old one. Putting a Expo, 31 spline rear in it with disc brakes. The drum brakes when offroading tend to lock up when you hit a puddle of muddy water and going down a muddy hill is nerve racking when that happens. |
