looking for advise on a ranger

i am starting to look around for a new truck. i have pretty much decided on a 2004+ fx4 level II balck on black with leather. i want an auto because im old and lazy. now i plan on doing a 4" SL with 33's and im just curious how the auto tranny will hold up. of course i will be upgrading the tranny cooler. so how much abuse will the auto tranny take? i live in alberta and im sitting around 3200ft so another concern is power. i have alot of fab experience and would like to build a turbo setup. low boost 6-8 lbs with an A2W intercooler setup.

back on track my main concerns are the automatic transmission. is there any upgrades for the tranny?

I have that setup but without leather... no problems with the trans whatsoever!

Come for a tour to Ontario and buy mine!

yea you can have it fully built. I may have my trans overhauled next spring and get it built bulletproof.

Im running a 4" lift and 33's, no problem. you WILL need gears though, most likely 4:10's or 4.56's.

If he does get a Level II he'll be good to go as they already have 4.10s.

thanks fullscale. i just left ottawa to come out here. im working on the oil rigs. i sold my last ranger because gas was expensive and my daily comute was 100 km. gas is way cheaper out here and im making a truck ton of monies. im driving a modified 98 honda crv right now but i want another ranger.
your truck is pretty much what i want but with black rims and maybe a few other goodies. how much you want for it. i will be coming back to ontario in the next two moths if you still have it.

100km is 62 miles which is how much I drive daily...I was getting a week and half worth of commute out of a tank of gas in a 4.0L. Wasn't too bad.
