Hey guys, looking to buy a pickup. Had one a couple years ago and looking to get another. The truck Im looking at is a 1991 XL with the 4.0 V6. It has 170,000 miles on it. Just looking for some advice as to if the miles are too high or not and anything else you guys might suggest. Here is the ad for the truck, i talked him down to 2000, good deal? He says he has changed the oil like clockwork and done all regular fluid and filter changes. Any comments are appreciated.

Do you like that body style? Because you can find a lot of newer* body styles with the same amount of miles for around that price.

I suggest (if your mind is set on this year). Look for rust, make sure the frame is good. Of course test drive it. Test driving it will tell you if you really want it. Even tho he says he has kept up with the oil, your trusting his word. Never trust a seller. They will do anything to sell their car.
