TOTALY F**KED !!
just found out that my frame is split almost in two. right behind the front leaf spring shackle there is a huge rotted crack all the way up. i brought it to a welding shop and he said it was because my crossmember was rotted so it was allowing extra flex at that spot. he said he could probably weld up a plate and brace it but that i would still need a new crossmember. i just ordered a crossmember from rangerframefix.com. does anyone think that with the crack plated up and a new crossmember in place that ill be all set. or is the truck toast. its a 99 extended cab 4x4 with only 57k!!!! i repeat 57k miles!! ahhhh i cant believe this. :( what should i do repair it or frame swap it.

Have it repaired. Happened to my truck as well, had it repaired once by a welder, decided to do it my self when it happened again in another spot.

well i have an update. tonight i had one of my buddys professional welder friend repair it. hes an awesome welder and filled in the crack and then plated over it. apparently the reason it cracked was because my gas tank crossmember was wasted and allowed a ton off flex near the leaf spring shackle. so when my new crossmember comes in we will take the bed and gas tank off and replate the whole back half of the frame. just to make sure everything is nice and sturdy :). oh ya and the por15 everything lol. but ya anyway... im so happy now. Thanks for the input guys
