looking at 4 vehicles maybe to buy........help!

i am wanting to get something more practical for work, and something that i can use when i have kids in a few years.........something that i can keep for a while.....which one you all think.....

-the first one is a '07 Sport Trac with the v8 and 4x4..........almost $32k
'06 Sport Trac

-the second one is a '05 Explorer with the 4.6v8 and 15k miles for $22k
'05 Explorer w/ 4.6v8

-the 3rd one is an '05 Sport Trac w/ a 4.0v6...w/ 22k miles....for $22k
'05 Sport Trac

-the 4th one is a '06 Explorer w/ a 4.0 v6 and 10k miles and they want $22k for it also.....
'06 Explorer....

i can't decide....i really like the black '05 explorer with the v8 and i really like the '07 Sport Tracs with the 4.6v8 in them..........they both have great room and are really nice vehicles.......HELP!

id go with the 05 sport trac or the 06 explorer.
we all know the engine id shy away from a v8 from now til some mid east country get bombed and a certain nation steals all its oil.

i would bet the v8 gets better gas milage than the 4.0.......we have a '04 explorer at work with the 4.0 and it only gets 16mpg around town and 18 on the road.....

i figure the '05 explorer at least books for $28-29k so i can bargin down a little with no trade!

Right here is an 04 used close to me, for 22,5 with 28k miles....

Has

V8 4.6 LITER, AUTOMATIC, 4WD, XLT, AIR CONDITIONING, POWER STEERING, POWER WINDOWS, POWER DOOR LOCKS, TILT WHEEL, CRUISE CONTROL, AM/FM STEREO, SINGLE COMPACT DISC PLAYER, PREMIUM SOUND, DUAL FRONT AIR BAGS, ABS, POWER SEAT, SLIDING REAR WINDOW, RUNNING BOARDS, BED LINER, TOWING PACKAGE, PREMIUM WHEELS

TRUCK

I will stop at the Stealership and check out what kind of options the new ones around here have....

I have been checking into either one....i cant decide if i want an expedition or a f150.....

The expedition has the 5.4L also....and i found a used one with 40k miles for 20k$....has a DVD system in it, all leather, ect......

If you go with ford they are still REALLY trying to get **** out of thier inventory, so they will work on the prices

i wonder how the certified pre owned warranty works with a factory warranty.....if it is an additional after the factory runs out or if it is in play with the factory warranty.......so i figure if i get the '05 explorer, then i will have a warranty till 90k miles..............that is pretty good....that is when the small parts start to break!

YES THEY ARE! but for $35k.....i can't see it......it will take such a loss in value when i drive it off the lot....and if the new sport tracs hold there value like the older sport tracs it will be worthless in a few years!

I don't know about "worthless" but I agree you're better off with an already depreciated (partially) 06 or 05. Mmmmm V8.....*Homer drool*

eather one of the sport tracs, the newer one is the same as my moms explorer config basically there VERY roomy and have TONS of power BUT....they only get 15mpg in city if that honistly...and you can get around 16-20mpg on freeway depending on how you drive it. i still like the outside styling of the older sport trac personally then the newer but the newer is nicer inside by far

yea.....i figure that the '05 explorer with 15k miles along with a warranty till 90k miles will be a good investment......the dang thing list new for $35k......i may be able to haggle them down to $19k or so.....if i can i may just have a new vehicle....

the 1 thing i like about the '05 Sport Trac is it is a 4.0 Flex Fuel engine......it can run on E85.........i would sacrifice a few mpg to get cheaper fuel....
