muffler question

I currently have the magnaflow single in, dual out system installed on my truck. I have been thinking as of late that I would like to try a different muffler other than the magnaflow one. I was thinking of going flowmaster. The magnaflow muffler is put in vertically with the hangers on the side. Do the flowmaster mufflers mount vertically? And do they have the hangers already welded on the side?

You'll probably lose power. The muffler shop, or whoever installs it will weld the hangers on. Flowmasters have to be mounted vertically to fit on the Ranger.

So the muffler does not come with the hangers already on?

Does the muffler even come with the hangers separate in the box?

Why? The exhaust is not the restraining part of his powertrain, the heads are. These kinds of exhaust mods are for sound and only sound. Bolting on a "less restrictive" exhaust makes nearly no difference on modern day vehicles.

Yep the main reason is sound. Its a joke trying to get power gains on a 3.0.
