Bumper Gap

Bumper Gap
I recently installed a new front bumper on my '02 XLT because I wanted the fog light holes (my pickup is 2wd). The gap on the left front fender needs adjusting since as the bumper edge gets closer to the wheel opening, the gap gets wider (it was this way with the old bumper as well).
I need suggestions and/or ideas on how to adjust this. I was thinking about putting washers or spacers on the upper bumper bolt to solve this but not sure if this would work.

It isn't the overall gap but the gap at one end where the bumper curves around towards the tire and it is only on the drivers side. I got back under the truck today and there is only up/down and side to side adjustment but not any pitch adjustment, if that makes sense. I will try to post pics but I wish I didn't have to use photobucket to do it!

No, there is just up and down and side to side adjustments. The bumper is held on by four bolts at the front of the frame rails only. I do believe if I use some sort of spacer at the top of the mount that it may solve my problem but it will have to wait until next weekend before I can look at it.
