Welcoming Ranger number 3!
I just bought my third Ranger! I'm super excited >.< It is a 99 Reg Cab side step. It has 195k miles on it. I know it is a ton, but the truck runs like it is bran new. I'm buying it from the only owner, an older guy who used it to get to work. Said he never took it over 3.5k rpms... It is an auto with a 2.5L. Only down side of everything is, I could tell he smoked in it all the time. So I'm going to have to get that taken care of some how. Any tips?
Here is the only picture I have of it now. I'm picking it up on the 22nd.

Welcome to R-F!
I just bought an '05 Colorado that had been smoked in a fair bit. A good cleaning goes a long way! I left the windows down as much as possible to let it air out and then threw in an air freshener or two. It's hard to tell now that it was smoked in! Not sure if they still do, but Meguiar's used to make a good product called Odor Eliminator that worked pretty well!

looks nice. That's what sucks about cigaret smoke. Even if you eliminate it of cover it up good, the time you leave it parked for a few days then come back and open the door you can smell it all over again. :-(
I'd start out by doing a really great interior detail. Shampoo all the fabric. (Maybe more then once.) Including the overhead. I'm not sure how easy it would be to do a mild wash on that? Either way just go from there.
